The JLHB Discretionary Fund provides modest financial support to other organizations whose needs and programs align with the Junior League Mission of developing the potential of women, improving the community and promoting voluntarism. Tax-exempt, non-profit, registered charitable organizations, located within the Halton Region or City of Hamilton, are encouraged to apply. Completed applications must be received up to and including April 15. Funds are disbursed annually in May. The Granting Policy is available here.
Grants, Awards, and our Bursary
The Junior League is an organization of women volunteers who find solutions for some of society's toughest problems. It empowers its members by providing them with both formal and experiential training.
The objective of the Janice Hambrock Bursary Fund is to provide financial assistance to participants of ongoing JLHB community programs so that we may assist them in achieving educational success.
The Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington, Inc. (JLHB) will award bursaries from its Bursary Fund Program to those Social Services Agencies whose candidates have met the application requirements (see agency application form here).
Bursary funds are available to assist with the cost of an accredited training or education program and /or related expenses incurred while attending said program (e.g. tuition/program fees, books, supplies, transportation).
