2010 HONORARY EVENT CHAIR
I'm so happy to be back as the tour's honorary chair - it's always a great way to kick-start the holidays. Meeting with Junior League members before the big event has helped me realize how much work goes into this tour, and how much it supports the projects they work on all year. It's also such a pleasure to see guests returning to the tour year after year.
Merry Christmas! Annette Hamm, CHCH News Anchor
TOUR OF HOMES
Among the cozy, elegant home in a private setting, one boasting spacious rooms with multiple lake views, a newly built 'arts and crafts' styled, or the open-concept home with a kitchen suited for lively gatherings, there is something for everyone at the 28th Annual Holiday House Tour of Distinctive Homes. For those who have made this an annual holiday tradition or where it will become the beginning of a new one, all guests will be inspired by the unique creations!

2010 Tour includes:
A lovely two storey, open concept home. Beyond the large and impressive entrance the inviting interior features a fabulous kitchen-dining-family room combination that is a perfect setting for lively gatherings of family and friends.
Set back from the street amid beautiful formal gardens, the cozy Georgian style home is exquisitely decorated in Victorian elegance and charm.
A newly built home that exemplifies the 'Arts and Crafts" architectural style where simplicity, natural materials, beautiful craftsmanship and detailed woodworking are paired with great design.
An interesting blend of old and new; spacious rooms with multiple lake views, a gourmet kitchen, dual family rooms with fireplaces, a grand piano and a theatre room with a large viewing screen. A warm and welcoming home.

Home Recruitment We
would appreciate your participation in this wonderful JLHB tradition in
the future and request that you consider offering the use of your home
for one weekend in November. With the help of generous and gracious
homeowners, the Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington can continue to
create lasting positive changes in our community. For more

The Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington For the past 75 years Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington members have addressed critical community needs in areas such as respite care, women and children, health and well being, social services, the environment and the arts. JLHB efforts are now focused on the issue of poverty. With the help of the young women living at the Good Shepherd's Brennan House, a transitional residence for youth at risk in Hamilton, 'Empower Hour' has recently been launched by the JLHB as a pilot program. This program intends to support the residents through learning workshops, mentoring, individual and group support. Funds raised at the Annual Holiday House Tour of Distinctive Homes allows the Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington continue to develop women as effective community leaders, creating lasting positive changes in our the Hamilton and Burlington area.
